Her Broadway debut was in High Fidelity. Also, the off Broadway shows Romantic Poetry & Measure for Pleasure were given their world premieres. Swallow had her first film role as a character in The Lucky Ones, a 2007 military thriller. Swallow has been in a variety of world premieres, such as Donald Margulies' The Country House at Los Angeles' Geffen Playhouse; Louis Jenkins' Nice Fish in Minneapolis' Guthrie Theatre opposite Mark Rylance [citation needed] and John Patrick Shanley's Romantic Poetry in Manhattan Theater Club. In 2010 she was awarded the Falstaff Award, which is given to the female actor who has performed the best in a stage production. The performance she gave as Kate in The Taming of the Shrew as Kate earned her the prize. Swallow and Jac huberman performed a Jac N Swallow stage show in New York, at both the Laurie Beeckman Theater & Joe's Pub on the 4th of December in 2012. The story revolves around the comical mishaps they have when they have to face various situations in varying degrees of the morality of their choices. The show is currently being developed based on these characters. In 2015, she played the character Amara in the 11th season of Supernatural in the role of "the Darkness". In 2019, she's in the role of Armorer of The Mandalorian in Star Wars, as well as her leader of the traditionalist Mandalorians. Her face has not been featured in the show as the Mandalorians who are traditionalists do not wear their armors in front of others. This is evident more so in Season 3 because the emphasis upon the Mandalorian and the Mandalorians is increasing.
